The brief
A founder with a manufacturing run already booked and a launch date six weeks out, but no social presence and no audience to launch into. The brand had a name, a small photoshoot of samples, and nothing else published anywhere.
How we would approach it
Start with a content pillar system, not a posting calendar
Before anything goes live, we would define three or four content pillars the account can sustain long after launch week, for example behind the scenes of production, styling guidance, and founder story. A calendar without pillars tends to run out of ideas by week three.
Front load reels while the account has nothing to lose
A brand new account with zero followers is the best time to test hooks aggressively, since there is no existing audience expectation to protect. We would batch a run of short form reels testing different opening lines and formats in the first two weeks, purely to learn what the account's specific audience responds to before committing the launch budget to one format.
Build a waitlist mechanic into the content, not just a link in bio
Rather than a single generic link in bio, we would run a visible countdown and early access waitlist woven into the content itself, giving early followers a clear reason to follow now instead of waiting until the product is already live.
Pair organic with a small paid seeding budget
A modest paid spend in the final two weeks before launch, aimed narrowly at lookalike audiences built from the founder's existing customer or email list if one exists, to make sure the first wave of launch day traffic is not relying on organic reach alone.
What this approach is built to deliver
An account that has already found its best performing content format before the first product ever goes on sale, a warm waitlist ready to convert on launch day, and a content system the brand can keep running well past the first ninety days instead of going quiet after the initial push.
